Sweating it out might gain you more than some toned abs and small waist.
Kristel Newell, 31, met love of her life Montha Khun, 32, at the local gym. “I was going there with my sister-in-law and this guy kept coming up and talking to me,” explains the Adelaide bride. “Eventually he told me how he felt and we instantly hit it off from there.”
The couple approached wedding planning with a low-key attitude and that ease flowed through to their day. They invited just 20 guests to their intimate wedding on March 27, 2015. They had only decided to plan it four weeks in advance!
“We didn’t initially plan on a photographer and I was just going to get some close friends to take photos for us but then I felt we may regret not capturing those precious memories … so we ended getting one,” says Kristel.
The ceremony at Holden Hill Chapel was brief, followed by lunch and some photographs. “We then went back to our house and invited the guests back with us, ordered pizza and just had a relaxing evening,” smiles Kristel.
Love the make-up? That was thanks to a last minute decision by the bride who is a qualified make-up artist. She planned on doing her own work, but decided it would be nicer to be pampered. So in came Aleksandra Pinneri from Unveil the Beauty. “She did an amazing job — I was really happy with her work and believe me when I say … I’m quite picky.”

Some of you might recognise two of the couple’s bridesmaids from television series The Block. “They are my step-sisters,” says Kristel.
Peter Shearer dressed the boys for the big day.
“I love how much our minds are in tune with each other that we know what each other is thinking,” says Montha.
