If there ever was a glamorous bride and groom, it’s Simone Galea and Emmanuel Cantsilieris.
The pair, aged 28 and 31 respectively, met at a “popular night spot” in Melbourne, according to Simone. “I remember Manny was very confident and approached me several times throughout the night to buy me drinks and dance with me,” she says. The night didn’t lead anywhere romantic but a month later they exchanged numbers at a mutual friend’s party.
On their two-year anniversary Emmanuel surprised Simone with a proposal. “I was so excited I didn’t even answer him and he had to ask me again,” she smiles. The couple set a wedding date for October 11, 2014.
Their luxe wedding in Melbourne was a lavish day attended by 270 guests, starting with a church ceremony and followed by a reception at Lincoln of Toorak. “Walking into the church and down the aisle with my father was the most emotional part of the day, and seeing Manny waiting for me,” smiles Simone.
She warns brides-to-be to cherish every moment. “It is very true what previous couples have told us that the whole day and night goes very quick and you really do need to just enjoy the ride.”

“Simone is perfect in every way, she is beautiful, caring, loving, supportive, smart, funny and so genuine,” Manny says of his bride.
