Sharing their rustic winery wedding with family and friends was a top priority for Steph and Ben.
“Friends and family are a huge part of who we both are,” Steph says.
“We always knew that no matter what, bringing out the happiness in each other and that of our guests would make our day the best it could ever be.”
The couple, who hail from Sunbury north-west of Melbourne, chose Russo Estate Winery in nearby Diggers Rest for their rustic-themed celebration on November 2, 2019 in front of 92 guests.
“We both really love wineries and the rustic feel and relaxed and fun vibe that they have so it was a given that we would have our wedding at one,” Steph says.
“Their venue already has such a rustic look to it that our florist found it really easy to incorporate our vision of whites, greenery, burgundy and soft pinks to complete the look.”
The couple says their rustic winery wedding perfectly brought the vision of their special day to life.
“it was the perfect balance of everything we could have ever imagined and more,” Steph says.
“We left so full of love and happiness and were so grateful we could share our day with all the people who mean the most to us.”

Steph found her dream gown through Brides of Melbourne. “The staff at Brides of Melbourne worked so efficiently in ensuring my dress was exactly what I wanted for our big day and nothing short of perfect,” she says.
“Ben and I met at the Olive Tree Hotel in Sunbury where we were both working at the time,” Steph recalls. “He made me laugh so much my cheeks hurt. Ben proposed on our five year anniversary at a beautiful restaurant on the beach in Thailand. It was the most special and romantic thing he’s ever done.”
Later in the evening, Mercury DJ Hire got everyone on the dancefloor.
