Rustic and relaxed, this elegant warehouse wedding at Assembly Yard, Fremantle, was perfectly planned thanks to some “above and beyond” Perth wedding suppliers.
Eloise and Liam’s carefree warehouse wedding went off without a hitch at the Perth industrial event space open to any interpretation.
The couple, who got engaged “in the middle of nowhere” celebrating their new camper trailer, wed at the Fremantle wedding venue on April 10, 2021, during a balmy Perth autumn.
One guest shy of 100, the entire celebration was spent at Assembly Yard, transformed from a lofty empty shell to the duo’s rustic industrial vision. Eloise and Liam praised Perth wedding planner and stylist, Wilde Wedding Management, and bridal florist Twillery, for bringing their ideas from mood board to reality.
Wearing a classic princess style wedding gown from Tuscany Bridal, Eloise walked down the alfresco aisle towards the venue’s statement timber door, to Liam, who stood with celebrant Anne Miller waiting to exchange their carefully-crafted vows.
On the other side of the huge ochre door was a sit-down wedding reception waiting to be catered by Locale Kitchen, who prepared delicious share plates from their southern American menu.
What Eloise and Liam wanted most for their day was to relax, and this was helped by never having to leave the venue. Paul Winzar shot beautiful photographs on-site and nearby, keeping to the earthy aesthetic with plenty of laughter captured in stills that were anything but stagnant.
A trio of entertainment was curated by Off The Wall Promotions, including a solo vocalist, band and a DJ, bringing high vibes to the dancefloor where guests partied under the West Australian stars.
We wanted a venue that was rustic and had a relaxed feel to it. Assembly Yard was the last venue we checked out and it was absolutely perfect. It is DIY which means we could make the space what we wanted. We were also able to have our ceremony and reception all in one spot which was a big plus for us. We even had photos done at the park just across the road so we didn’t have to do any travelling once the day had started. The event flowed so beautifully, we woudn’t change a thing.

This rustic warehouse wedding at Assembly Yard was captured beautifully by Paul Winzar Photography.
“I am not a heels-wearing girl!”
I wore heels that I already owned but also bought a pair of platform sneakers from Betts to wear under my dress after the ceremony. I don’t wear heels anymore! They were so comfortable.

BROWSE WEDDING SHOES“Anne Miller was our celebrant. She really got to know us and wrote a beautiful ceremony.”
She also helped us write our vows. She was available in the lead up to give us advice and tweaked our vows so they were perfect on the day. She really got to know us beforehand and wrote a ceremony which was tailored to us as a couple. The entire ceremony was a perfect length and really captured us as a couple.

CHECK OUT ANNE MILLER CELEBRANT“I wanted to use Australian natives and lots of texture in our florals for the day.”
BROWSE WEDDING FLORISTSOur wedding florist was Karen from Twillery; the flowers were absolutely stunning. Liam and I are useless with flowers; I gave her a few ideas of what we wanted but she went above and beyond. My bridal bouquet was epic! I didn’t want anything too over the top but wanted to stand out as well and she found a perfect balance.
“Paul made Liam and I feel so comfortable behind the camera.”
He was easygoing and captured so many beautiful shots. We don’t really like being photographed too much and we didn’t want to travel far for our photos. Paul was very accommodating and definitely got the best out of us. The photos are beautiful and capture the heart of the day, especially all the fun we had with our gorgeous bridal party.

CHECK OUT PAUL WINZAR PHOTOGRAPHY“Our catering was provided by Locale Kitchen and we chose the southern style menu.”
We had a shared style menu so food was placed between guests and shared amongst those near you. This included beef brisket, southern fried chicken, lamb meatballs, corn, artichoke gratin, cornbread and a salad. We also had canapés served before the reception started which included mushroom arancini, burgers and chorizo.

CHECK OUT LOCALE KITCHEN“Our music was sorted through Brandon at Off the Wall Promotions. We told him what we were after (which was not entirely simple) and he made it happen.”
We had Nicholette perform a solo set during our pre-reception canapés. She also helped by playing our ceremony music and had an iPod set up to play inside our reception. After this, 3Face played four sets outside with Nicholette as lead singer and two guys on instruments/backup vocals. The band was beyond amazing. They got the party started and kept us going all night long. They had everyone up and dancing and we received so, so many compliments. After this, we had DJ Darren play to wrap the night up and he did so perfectly.
