Showing the hidden gems of Victoria’s capital was the aim behind Portraits of Melbourne’s forest styled shoot.
“As a rustic wedding photographer in Melbourne I love the variety of locations we have in this town,” photographer Clarke Scott says.
“From the city, to the beach to secret redwood forests. We are lucky as photographers to live in such a beautiful place.”
Clarke travelled to a secluded redwood forest just outside Warburton with real-life married couple Cat and Matt for the styled shoot.
“The forest itself is a little hard to find but a great place to shoot,” he says.
Cat wore an elegant lace gown and kicked her shoes off to frolic on the forest floor in the day’s dying light.
“We arrived as the sun was low in the sky. They call this golden hour. And that was about the amount of time I had to shoot everything,” Clarke explains.
“The sun was super bright in pockets and so I used this to my advantage by placing the guys in or out of these spot lights from the sun.
“We had fun. I wish we had another hour or two but as anyone that has shot like this knows…nothing ever goes to plan.”
