Bride Rebecca Edwards was hiding a secret on her rustic vineyard wedding day.
The 23-year-old and her beau James Botham, 28, married with 76 guests at Tuscany Wine Estate in Pokolbin, NSW on February 6, 2016. Stumped with what to wear, the bride did in fact find her dream wedding dress from Sweethearts Bridal Boutique, but for an added extra wore some cowboy boots hidden underneath!
The couple were supported by a 14-person wedding party, and loving family and friends they had carefully chosen to attend their big day. “We had so many ideas of let’s buy a place and get married there, and then there was the idea of booking a house and having a small wedding,” explains Rebecca. “But we both decided we wanted not only our closest friends and immediate family but also our good mates who we grew up with.”
It was a weekend affair, kicking off on a Thursday and finishing on a Monday, with the wedding on the Saturday evening. “We still have people talking about the wedding, not just because it was a wedding, but the fact that everyone mingled young and old,” smiles Rebecca. “We also had a surprise for our guests to end a magnificent day with a display of fireworks.”

The couple had seven bridesmaids and seven groomsmen!
“I wore my cowboy boots that I’d had for years. I wasn’t going to walk in anything else!” says Rebecca of her ‘something old’.
Rebecca says she had tears in her eyes when finding “the one” wedding gown – as did her mum and mum-in-law.
Affections Wedding & Event Hire put their special touch on styling for the rustic vineyard wedding.
“The minute we saw we could have fireworks we booked straight away,” smiles Rebecca. “The best thing was we kept it from our guests.”
