The beach holds a special place in the hearts of Samantha Gasson and Tim Crane.
It was where Tim, 27, proposed among the seagrass in 2013 and less than a year later it was where they celebrated their seaside wedding.
Samantha, 26, tells, “Every time we went to the lookout at our local beach, Timmy would make me a ring out of seagrass. We were at the same beach watching the sunset when Timmy said he needed to find some seagrass to make my ring. Frustrated he was taking so long, I turned around to tell him to hurry up and there he was on one knee with my gorgeous engagement ring!”
The Mullaloo, Western Australia couple, who met as teenagers, walked down the aisle at St Mary’s Church, Leederville on November 22, 2014 in front of 114 guests.
The reception followed at Nedlands Yacht Club, which offered a glorious ocean outlook for their seaside celebration.
Samantha, 26, planned and styled the day herself, adding plenty of DIY touches and handmade products sourced from local suppliers.
“It is all worth it! Those late nights tying ribbons to sticks or sewing tassle onto dressing gowns will make it the best day of your life,” Samantha says of her DIY efforts.

The couple met at an 18th birthday before running into each other again two years later. “We’ve been inseparable ever since,” Samantha says.
“Tim is the most beautiful person you will ever meet,” says Samantha. Tim says he loves how his bride is always positive and “supports my crazy ideas.”
