Liz and Cody look back on their rustic country wedding as about much more than just saying “I do”.
“It was about becoming one family with our two little boys and we wanted the day to be about our family and the love we have for one another,” Liz, 22, explains.
She and Cody, 21, met when they were at school and love soon blossomed.
“As we are from a cattle station, an outback proposal seemed only fitting,” Liz says of Cody’s romantic proposal at a lookout on the way from their Charters Towers home to the city.
When it came to their rustic country wedding at Tinaroo Lake Resort, the couple wanted to keep it relaxed.
Seventy nine friends and family joined the couple and their two boys for the celebrations on April 14, 2018.
The reception was held at the same venue, decked out in a neutral, rustic style.
“Cody and I are pretty relaxed and go with the flow so we kept everything simple and sweet,” Liz says.
“Our wedding was more than just vows and saying I do, It was about become one family with our little boys.”
