Vivi Halim and Vincent Fantasia did not have much luck in the online dating world until they found each other.
As groom Vince, 29, explains, the attraction was instant despite the distance between him, in Adelaide, and Vivi, 25, from Indonesia.
Nine months on the pair met and six months later Vince returned to Indonesia to propose. “I couldn’t imagine anyone else I wanted to be with for the rest of my life,” he says.
The couple held their seaside wedding on May 9, 2015, at Christ Church, North Adelaide in front of 30 guests.
They went with a nautical theme for their reception at the Cruising Yacht Club of South Australia, complete with ships in bottles from Indonesia as gifts for the guests.
Vince says things could not have gone better. “It was the best day of both our lives,” he said.

Vivi was spoilt with a custom-made gold ring from Logam Tunggai Jewellery in Indonesia.
Vince says nerves were running high at the ceremony. “We were both nervous but we shared our vows as we had always imagined,” he says.
“We hope we encourage others to never give up and to believe in your love,” Vince says.
The Cruising Yacht Club provided the perfect venue for the couple’s sea-themed reception.
