Nothing vanilla: Lauren and Levi’s bold modern wedding in Collingwood, Victoria

Lauren and Levi’s modern wedding was, as the bride describes, nothing vanilla. It was a day and night to remember with a bold colour palette, moody romantic venue and a couple so in love. It resembled them perfectly.

The venue was a stand-out in a long list of highlights. Rupert on Rupert, a converted warehouse venue in Collingwood, Victoria, was the perfect setting for the October 20, 2019 affair.

“The venue suited Levi and I to a T. The ambient, romantic moody space, with navy blue walls with open fireplaces, vintage furniture, an ever-growing indoor garden and polished concrete floors, made it the perfect venue to complement my burgundy, blush and green flower palette.”

Guests were treated to a long-table reception, a stunning naked drip cake and a spectacular party that had loved ones on the dance floor well into the late hours of the evening.

Levi proposed to his bride while the pair holidayed in Santorini, Greece. To make it extra special, Levi surprised Lauren with a 10-course degustation with matching flight of wines to be enjoyed while overlooking the caldera.

Aside from the venue, Lauren’s top priority was her dress.

“My stunning Suzanne Harward gown with my altered veil made into detachable wings made me feel like a queen,” she says.

The bride planned her look in meticulous detail, even down to her bold burgundy lip and her French polished nails with her newly married initials.

Lauren credits Easy Weddings for helping plan her dream wedding in just 10 months.

“Easy Weddings guided me through the process of suppliers and gave me timeframes of what I should be focussing on each month. It also gave me inspiration through past weddings, so my wedding would be just perfect.”
