Nikita and Rodney walked down the aisle with their three biggest supporters by their side.
“Our three young children played an important part in bringing together our day! We felt our wedding day was about completing our family unit,” bride Nikita, 32, says.
She and Rodney, also 32, chose Sky High Mount Dandenong in the gorgeous Dandenong Ranges on the outskirts of Melbourne for their family-friendly modern wedding on November 10, 2018.
“Rodney’s intimate Thailand proposal came before our children arrived into this world, so we already had many years to dream of how we would bring together our day and we did not disappoint ourselves,” Nikita says.
The couple incorporated their love of nature and good food and wine into their modern wedding.
“This was showcased by our stunning venue, off-site location photos and our Veuve champagne tower which was our cake replacement,” the bride says.
“Our style was based around a modern natural style, classy, with plenty of greenery and gold detail. Our design inspiration came from our initial invites, which then spilled out into all aspects of our wedding, from our custom built ceremony backdrop to our menus and signage details.”

Nikita’s beautiful lace gown was sourced from Mia Solano @ Luv Bridal & Formal, while Rodney and his groomsmen were dressed by Andre J Menswear.
Celebrant Tracey O’Connor did the official honours on the day.
“Our day shows that no matter where you are in your relationship, no matter what journey you have taken together, you can pull off the most amazing day you have ever dreamt of,” Nikita says.
