Long before Emma and Joel were engaged, the Melbourne couple knew they would marry at Joel’s parents’ three-acre property in Langwarrin.
“Eighteen months of hard work and planning went into getting everything organised, almost all of it was DIY including the bouquets,” explains Emma, 27 of her wedding to Joel, 28. “The two days leading up to the wedding was a mad rush, with all hands on deck setting up to get everything perfect.”
Emma says guests were most impressed with their set up, including a huge antipasto feast, festoon lighting and a wood fire pizza food truck — and her mum deserves a lot of the credit. “My mum searched high and low since we first got engaged for the very best vintage centrepieces and Deco pieces from op shops, vintage stores and even tip shops,” recalls Emma. “She sourced some absolute beauties and our wedding would not look half as good as it did if it wasn’t for her.”
“Our day was perfect and we are so proud of what we have achieved together,” smiles the bride.

Emma says her lace gown with sheer sections is her “dream dress”.
The bridesmaids wore stunning, deep red gowns from P.S. Frocks.
“The story of us started over seven years ago,” says the bride, who met her groom at a pub in Mornington.
Lawn games kept guests entertained while the couple had their photos.
“Our neighbours Mel and Sam are flower farmers, they supplied us with the gorgeous native blooms,” says Emma.
