Deana and Matthew’s black tie wedding put a modern spin on the traditional fairytale.
The bride says it was important they paid homage to their shared heritage.
“We wanted to showcase a modern and contemporary wedding that still paid love and respect to our Italian heritage,” Deana explains.
“We wanted our wedding to be like one big celebration, with everyone on their feet, lots of dancing and full of Italian tradition.”
The couple wed at Our Lady of Victories Church, Horsley Park, western Sydney, on June 1, 2019. The celebrations continued with their 440 friends and family at Le Montage in Lilyfield.
The groom’s family’s experience in the flower industry paid off, with modern arrangements of blooms, greenery and pampas grass adorning the venue.
Deana indulged her sweet tooth with a donut-making station and a choice of toppings for guests to indulge in.
“The whole day embodied who we are both individually and together,” the bride says.
“Most importantly, it allowed us and our guests to celebrate love, adoration and fulfilment in finding a soul mate.”

“Both our families are big, so we had a big bridal party and a lengthy guest list,” Deana says. Their cute-as-a-button pageboy was dressed in an outfit by Stellina Cute Couture for Children.
“We met through a mutual friend whilst going out for drinks for our mutual friend’s birthday. We were instantly drawn to each other,” Deana says.
Matthew proposed on a yacht at Whale Beach. “It was romantic and intimate, absolute perfection,” Deana recalls.
White Label Hire had the black tie wedding venue looking its best.
