Ashlee Jones and Benjamin Hidalgo are not only partners in romance, but business too.
The pair, aged 29 and 24 respectively, run a fitness centre in Sydney. They met at a BMX event in 2010 — where Ben’s “muscles and tattoos” caught Ashlee’s attention. “The love blossomed and I moved from Newcastle to Sydney to live with Ben,” explains Ashlee. “Seven years later we have our own house, business and two fur babies who we love dearly.”
They married at their Curzon Hall wedding on October 28, 2016 in the presence of 90 guests. Despite wanting a destination wedding, the couple decided family was more important. “Our dream was to be married in Fiji, but unfortunately my husband’s grandparents could not travel, so a wedding in Sydney would be the perfect idea in order to have all our loved ones standing by our side,” the bride says.
As their business is a major priority for the pair, a honeymoon was put on hold. “We love what we do; changing people’s lives for the better,” smiles Ashlee.

It’s quite common nowadays to include pets in the wedding. See how here.
With supply of peonies affected by bad weather, Ashlee almost didn’t have her dream bloom. But her florist came through. “On the day I was the only bride in Sydney with peonies.”
Janice Bradley – Family Celebrant married the happy couple in a garden setting.
