“It was probably this chillest, most fun wedding ever,” Milly says of her rustic farm wedding to beau Mark.
Milly and Mark, aged 25 and 26, tied the knot beside a little dam in Wollombi, NSW, on March 15, 2019. Celebrations continued late into the night at The Woodhouse Wollombi, where guests were treated to flowing drinks, a rocking live band and plenty of food provided by Fennel & Co. Catering.
The pair planned the event a year out. Milly and Mark knew exactly what they wanted from the get-go, with three main priorities in mind. “We wanted a super relaxed rustic wedding with native Australian flowers, a rock band and a really fun ceremony,” says the bride.
Speeches were kept short and sweet, and guests were encouraged to change into comfortable slippers at the reception to allow them to dance all night long without worry or pain.
“Our guests drank and ate all afternoon before we literally rocked their shoes off that evening,” laughs the bride. It was an occasion thoroughly enjoyed by all in attendance.

Milly wore an incredible Grace Loves Lace design.
“Mark and I met in high school and dated for two years before going our separate ways – never thinking we’d see each other again. Fast forward four years and Mark and I started hanging out again,” tells the bride of their unique love story.
The addition of native Australian flowers perfectly complemented the wedding’s country surrounds.
Set on a 100-acre country property in the Hunter Valley, The Woodhouse Wollombi was the ideal venue choice for the rustic themed event.
