Meaghan will never forget the look on husband-to-be Jesse’s face when they saw each other at either end of the aisle.
“My favourite moment of the day was seeing my fiancé down the end of the aisle,” Meaghan says.
” I will never forget the smile he gave me, and the feeling I had in my heart.”
The couple held their beach wedding at Caves Coastal Bar and Bungalows at Caves Beach Dunes in the Lake Macquarie area on November 25, 2017.
About 90 of the pair’s nearest and dearest watched on during the love-filled outdoor ceremony overlooking the sea, before the elegant indoor reception, which was festooned with fairy lights and festive blooms.
“I always envisioned a beachy, relaxed style of wedding,” Meaghan says.
The couple is still pinching themselves over their dream beach wedding.
“I love that I truly got to marry my best friend,” the bride says.

Meaghan says she had her eye on her low-back, elegant gown years before she was even engaged. “To avoid getting my hopes up too high in case I didn’t like the dress on, I tried several other styles first. But the moment I finally tried it for myself, I knew it was the one,” she says.
The couple were roommates for a few years until friendship blossomed into love and they both say communication is key to a successful relationship. “Laughter every day is also vital,” Meaghan says.
Jesse proposed while the pair holidayed in Italy. “We were vacationing in the Amalfi Coast, and one day we hiked the Santiero Degli Dei. We stopped for a picnic lunch on the cliffside and afterwards, he got down on one knee and popped the question. It took me completely by surprise!” Meaghan recalls.
Meaghan advises future brides not to sweat the small stuff, and to take time out on the big day as a couple. “The day goes in a flash,” she says.
