As self-described natural and beachy people, it made sense for Madeleine and Robert to host a beautiful beach wedding at Moby Dicks Whale Beach.
The couple planned their day together, from the choice of flowers, styling and shoes, right down to the little metal whale decals added to their invitations.
“We love neutral palettes with a pop of colour, and we wanted an organic/beachy vibe. We wanted to create a fun-loving, loved up and vibrant atmosphere,” explains the bride.
The day, held on a hot December 12 in 2018, began with a church ceremony and ended with a breathtaking reception overlooking the ocean. To guarantee good vibes throughout the day, Melanie and Robert made a point of ensuring their guests’ comfort. They did this by making sure everyone had a drink in their hand at all time times, hiring an air-conditioned coach to cart guests from the ceremony to the reception, and providing personalised bathroom packs in each of the restrooms.
“We wouldn’t change a thing. Our wedding reflected us in every way,” says Madeleine. “Our guests are still telling us about how perfectly suited our special day was to us.”

Madeleine’s bridesmaids suited the beachy theme perfectly with their light blue gowns.
A Bridal Affair provided the classic wedding transport for the day.
Guests were treated to a two-tier naked cake and a macaron tower.
“It was really such a beautiful and fun start to our lives together as a married couple!”
