We didn’t realise the Sydney Royal Easter Show had a husband showbag on offer.
But maybe it does, because that’s where Holly Ebbeck, 24, and Ben Goodman, 27, found one another. “I was riding horses and Ben was showing cattle,” says Holly. Years later, Ben took Holly back to the showgrounds to propose. “He designed the ring, surprised me and made sure family and friends were around to celebrate with,” she smiles.
The pair married at their vintage country wedding on September 20, 2014 in the Hunter Valley. Holly said it had everything she and Ben had dreamed of; glam, glitz, horse and cart and bow ties – to name a few. “We were so proud of one another as we did it on our own – we saved the money and made most of the décor,” says Holly. “I really enjoyed making chalkboard signs and details about Ben that made the room personal to the two of us.”
Holly’s Anna Campbell gown was fitting for their vintage theme. “I loved the idea of a dress that was comfortable and that flowed – much like a glam goddess.” She had a matching head piece and veil.
“We are just two country happy people that fell in love,” says Holly.

“I walked down the aisle to the song that Ben and I listened to when we first met – “My Best Friend” By Tim McGraw,” says Holly.
Holly and Ben married at The Sebel Kirkton Park.
“We love each other’s company, sense of humour and work ethic,” smiles Holly.
The couple had a white choc and caramel mud cake.
