When you’re in love, you make your own relationship rules.
Jessica Wood and James Robins weren’t afraid to discuss the ‘M’ word on their first date, nor were there any doubts they were ‘the one’ for each other. “Funnily enough we discussed getting married the very first time we spoke; when you know, you know,” says Jessica, 26, of her beau, 29. “We moved in together around one month later.”
They celebrated their elegant rustic wedding on February 25, 2017 in Willunga, South Australia. A ceremony at Barn 1890 with 60 guests was followed by a reception at the same beautiful location. “We wanted to keep in tune with the natural elements of the venue and its surroundings,” explains the bride. “Being placed between the hills, vineyards and the beach, we really had the best of everything.”
Jess’ mum also played a special role in the day, despite passing away when Jess was just 15 years old. “I chose to have my mum’s locket with two photos of her inside attached to my bouquet so she was with me the whole day,” smiles Jess. “Married life is utter bliss and we can’t wait to spend the ups and downs of life, side by side.”
