For Sydney’s Victoria Batty, the only thing on her mind as she jetted to Bali with her closest girlfriends was to celebrate her 21st birthday.
At the same time, Western Australia’s Chace Gairen was also planning a Bali getaway – a blokes-only footy trip with his mates. Little did this unsuspecting couple know they’d meet in a Bali nightclub and become inseparable for the rest of the holiday!
Love and a long-distance romance quickly blossomed and, after a few cross-country visits, Victoria moved to Chace’s hometown, Ravensthorpe, WA. “I’ve never looked back,” she smiles. Two years later Chace proposed to his beautiful bride-to-be beneath the Eiffel Tower.
On January 23, 2016, Victoria, 25 and Chace, 26, celebrated their love in a relaxed outdoor vineyard wedding. Eighty guests, including loved ones from overseas, travelled to the picturesque Margaret River for the elegant nuptials at Watershed Winery.
“Our wedding day was the best day of our life,” says Victoria. “It was all so easy. I had no nerves in the morning on the big day, I just wanted to see Chace and start celebrating with our nearest and dearest.”
She adds, “The atmosphere on the day was so easy and relaxed, and I absolutely have all of our vendors to thank for that.”
