An elegant colour theme of navy and gold set the tone for the golf club wedding of Louise Hope and Ben Herbert.
The Adelaide couple, aged 27 and 30 respectively, met in 2012 at their local pub, locking eyes on the stairwell one night out. “I was walking upstairs and he was walking downstairs, it was an instant attraction,” recalls Louise.
They became a fast couple and two years later bought their first home and travelled Europe. “Ben proposed to me on a gondola in Italy — quite the romantic guy and it was completely unexpected which added a great element of surprise,” smiles Louise.
“Our colour theme was classic yet with a touch of hippie,” says the bride of the March 12, 2016 day. “Special elements included highland dress for the Scottish side of the family, a six-tier wedding cake with gold sequins and a table setting that oozed elegance.”
They celebrated both their ceremony and reception at the Grange Golf Club with just over 100 guests. The Grange boasts spectacular Golf Course views and superb cuisine.
