We can’t get enough of the wedspiration from Wild Heart Events, and this festival wedding shoot at Log Cabin Ranch might just be our fave to date!
Perhaps what we loved most about planner and stylist Danielle’s latest shoot – more than the incredible feathered headdress worn by model Caitlin or the macrame and dried-palm arch that has Wild Heart Events‘ signature style written all over it – was the cutest EVER kids’ zone showcasing just what to do to entertain young ones at a wedding.
As always, this shoot was a huge collaborative effort (scroll down for the full credit list), including My Scandi Style Photography, Mad About Cakes, and Goldies Event Services who provided the mobile bar caravan.
Following the turmoil of the 2020, I decided the time was right to bring together a group of talented small local businesses for a collaborative styled shoot at the beautiful Log Cabin Ranch, set on 10 acres in the heart of the Dandenong Ranges.
After carefully hand-picking each of the collaborators, it became evident from the overwhelming eagerness and positivity of almost every business I reached out to, that everyone else had been missing weddings and events as much as I had!
What was hatched as a modest concept soon developed into this epic, boho inspired, festival-style wedding to remember.

“Our bride wore a stunning ‘Nikita’ fitted gown of bold white lace featuring a plunging neck, open back and a sweeping train.”
She carried a bouquet of toffee coloured roses, dried florals and foliage in neutral tones and white peacock feathers tied with raw silk ribbons in soft blush and ivory tones. The groom’s boutonniere of dried flowers and foliage was designed to tie in with the floral styling on his brown felt Will & Bear hat.

BROWSE WEDDING DRESSES“We created and styled a retreat area for the bride and groom, to provide somewhere nearby they could escape to alone for some connection and quiet time.”
On the forest edge, a large canvas tipi provided shade and shelter, with a cosy area inside styled to recline and relax.
For the reception, Mad About Cakes designed a 3-tiered beauty with soft, dusted ruffle edges and gorgeous hand-pressed dried florals climbing upwards.

“One of the keys to a great event is to keep the kids happy and entertained, so the adults can also relax and enjoy themselves.”
We created a special kids’ zone not far from the main lawn area. Little Party Faces greeted the excited children and entertained them with magic tricks, giant bubbles and boho-inspired face-painting. Artful Splodgers provided customised craft kits and guidance on making woodland animal masks. We then treated the kids to their own special picnic at another nearby table, styled with stoneware plates, colourful glassware and comfy scattered cushions to lounge on.
