Fairytale vibes for Cindy and Abdi's Leonda By The Yarra wedding

Cindy and Abdi were seeking nothing short of a fairytale for their November 11, 2022, wedding. Leonda by the Yarra’s enchanting gardens had them intrigued, but it was the promise of a departure by boat that really sealed the deal.

In planning their celebration, Cindy and Abdi prioritised the enjoyment of their 204 guests with delicious catering and plenty of entertainment. The result was an elegant and luxurious wedding to remember.

To set the tone for a sophisticated event, Cindy and Abdi worked with Giant Invitations to design an understated yet striking invitation design. “The invitations were everything we wanted and more!” says Cindy adding that, if she could recommend only one supplier to all other couples, it would be the Melbourne-based luxury printing company.

The couple decided to host their entire celebration at Leonda by the Yarra, negating the need for any travel. On the morning of her wedding to Abdi, Cindy dressed in a dramatic princess gown from Always and Forever Bridal. The intricate beadwork and dramatic silhouette suited the old-world garden setting perfectly. Elly of Hair and Makeup by Elly Liana created a soft and flowing hairstyle for Cindy — complete with a delicate tiara for some extra sparkle.

The bride and groom arrived separately in style — him in a Chrysler Limo by Enrik Limo and her in a 1961 Rolls Royce courtesy of Always Classic Cars. In a romantic ceremony by Tim Barnes Celebrant, Cindy and Abdi exchanged personalised vows in the presence of their friends and family. The arbour was decorated with greenery and white roses to match the bouquets and buttonholes by Floss & Fleur.

After a stunning wedding portraiture and cinematography session with Fame Park Studios, Cindy and Abdi joined their guests in Leonda by the Yarra’s ballroom. Their arrival was followed by speeches, dinner, and the slicing of a magnificent three-tiered wedding cake by Mad About Cakes. NOVA DJs elevated the party, getting the guests on the dance floor and filling the ballroom with the sounds of celebration.

Finally, after a sparkler exit, the happy couple sailed away from Leonda by the Yarra’s private jetty in a fairytale ending to a wonderful evening.

We were after a fairytale wedding. Leonda on the Yarra’s vibe was exactly what we were searching for! Honestly, we were sold as soon as we found out we could leave by boat. One of our favourite aspects of our wedding was that we had everything at the venue. We didn’t want anyone to have to travel anywhere else.
