After planning the wedding of her dreams to long-time love Luke Hallaby, Kylie Barnes has some simple advice for future brides.
“Don’t stress the small things,” she says.
The Sydney pair, Kylie, 28, and Luke, 27, had a lavish white wedding for 350 guests on September 20, 2014.
The ceremony was a traditional Assyrian one held at St Hurmized Cathedral in Greenfield Park, renowned for it high ceilings, chandeliers and high ceilings.
The reception followed at Nineveh Lounge & Reception.
“The theme was white elegance,” Kylie explains.
“We had all the decorations white and pink and spotlights running up the walls of the hall.
“The bridal table was made up of fish bowl vases consisting of flowers white and peach roses with baby’s breath, mirrors and tea light candles going across the table. Behind the main table was a white curtain with draping fairy lights and was illuminated by the pink spotlights.”
An Assyrian singer continued the traditional theme and a lolly buffet and photo booth were fun additions for guests to enjoy.
