Every step of the way when planning their romantic wedding, Sarah and Jonathan had their children as their Number One priority.
After more than a decade as an item, Sarah and Jonathan, aged 29 and 36, exchanged vows at a beautiful garden wedding ceremony held on November 2, 2019 in the grounds of a private estate in Goulburn, NSW.
With young children in mind, the wedding party moved from the morning ceremony to a lunchtime reception, in place of the traditional dinner.
The kids — four in total including Jonathan’s two older sons from a previous relationship — held honorary roles in the day’s proceedings. Their daughter was flower girl, their son pageboy, and Jonathan’s older sons junior groomsmen — one of which performed a special reading at the ceremony.
“Our wedding was what we wanted and we didn’t change things for what people expected or what was tradition. The day was just perfect,” says the bride.

Sarah paired her incredible gown with gold glitter Jimmy Choo’s — a second-hand bargain she found on eBay!
The wedding was held on a private estate owned by Sarah’s bosses and generously loaned to the couple for their special day.
Sarah chose artificial flowers in place of fresh bouquets. “I was unsure how real peonies would handle the heat,” says the bride. “Having artificial flowers saved us a lot of money and they were easy to transport the two hours to Goulburn.”
The lunchtime reception was a beautiful success, with a delicious buffet lunch and cake served as dessert.
