There aren’t many weddings that go off without a hitch.
Unfortunately for Kasey Stevens and Kane Dunning, it was quite the emergency when her uncle passed out from dehydration when she arrived at the ceremony. “I did wait in the car for 15 minutes for the ambulance to arrive,” explains Kasey. “Luckily he is OK now, sadly he travelled 2,000 kilometres to miss our big day.”
But on the upside, the couple, aged 27 and 26 respectively, had beautiful photos taken on the day which she can now show her uncle, and others who missed the big moment. “I am really excited to get home and finally share our photos with him, my nan and pa who couldn’t make it due to distance and their age, and my other bridesmaid who ended up giving birth instead of attending,” explains Kasey.
Their golf club wedding on October 8, 2016 began with a ceremony at St Margaret’s Chapel on Surfers Paradise, followed by a reception at Southport Golf Club. Kasey says the photos from the day truly capture the love between her and Kane. “I know I smiled all day and I you can see from the photos just how excited and in love we are,” she says. “It has been almost five years of love that already has a million traits of my parents’ life and they have been together for over 30 years.”

“I didn’t like the type of dress I wore when I saw it on the rack, but mum and dad asked me to humour them … I fell in love with it,” smiles the bride.
“I just want to press repeat,” says Kasey of the big day.
The groom and his best man were dressed in blue suits from Ferrari Formalwear & Bridal.
Taking a photo like this is great for when you make thank you cards after the wedding!
Kasey and Kane spent the night at Peppers Soul Surfers Paradise. “The most amazing place we’ve ever stayed!”
