Larissa and Anthony were “just friends” for years before they realised there was something more.
“Anthony and I met through mutual friends when I first moved to the Sunshine Coast but it wasn’t until he was willingly vacuuming my apartment five years later that I realised this might be more than a great friendship,” Larissa says with a laugh.
Anthony popped the question on a holiday in Indonesia and the couple began planning their elegant wedding on the Sunshine Coast.
“We knew from the beginning that we wanted a glass roof marquee reception and long tables. The Rocks at Yandina was able to provide this for us and all with delicious food and a stunning back drop,” Larissa says.
The couple wed in an outdoor ceremony overlooking the water on September 28, 2019.
“We both agree that the most emotional part of the day was meeting each other at the end of the aisle. We held each other’s hands so tight, it all felt so surreal,” the bride says.
Fairy lights adorned the elegant marquee and long tables were dressed with greenery, white blooms and candles.
“It was the ultimate combination of a relaxed yet elegant celebration,” Larissa says.

“Anthony proposed on a holiday to Lombok. Arriving in after two flights and dodging closed airports during the looming volcano eruptions in December 2017, we decided to celebrate reaching our destination by heading straight to the cocktail bar by the beach for sunset. As I was relaxing on a sun lounge taking the first sips of my cocktail, we were discussing how lucky we were to be there and how beautiful the sunset was, next minute Anthony was on one knee. At this, I jolted upright and the next minute we were engaged,” Larissa recalls.
The couple was ferried in style thanks to Coastline Limousines.
