Jessica and Rob planned carefully for their summer wedding – ordering an ice-cream truck to cool down their guests!
The Upwey couple, both aged 29, married in Monbulk, Victoria, on January 19, 2018 with 100 loved ones. “It was a steamy summer day, in the gorgeous Dandenong Ranges,” explains Jessica. “We had chosen the stunning venue, The Log Cabin Ranch based on the DIY element. Every guest commented on how beautiful the venue was.”
They enlisted the talents of Rob’s aunty to make the gorgeous bouquets. “I always wanted natives and I couldn’t have asked for more stunning bouquets to accompany my look,” smiles the bride.
Guests were treated to acoustic music while enjoying woodfired pizzas at the Tuscan-style reception, and ice-cream from a van to chill out afterwards. “The first dance, to Endless Summer, was under the festoon lights as the sun set on our perfect day. It was a beautiful combination of rustic, boho, laid back and fun,” smiles Jessica.
The bride’s advice for a night of no regrets is to “take a million selfies with the bride squad” and “use the photobooth with the hubby!”

Jessica’s choice of gown was season-appropriate, with it’s strappy, V-neck silhouette.
The pair chose wedding bands from Temelli Jewellery.
“We put so much effort into our day… but mostly we put in a lot of love,” says the bride.
Dream catchers adorned the backdrop of the bride and groom’s ceremony.
“We only got two of the four bridesmaids dresses three weeks before the wedding…I was a pretty chilled bride,” laughs Jessica.
The couple’s cake, atop a cascading cinnamon donuts was created by Renate Elise Designer Cakes.
