One way to ensure an intimate, personal ceremony is to enlist a celebrant who knows you.
Jessica Gordon and Jarrod Sexton, both aged 30, married at their romantic boho wedding on November 11, 2016 in the presence of 127 guests. They had always wanted a relaxed wedding day that reflected them as a pair.
“We were fortunate enough to be married by a close friend of Dad’s who put together such an intimate, meaningful and emotional ceremony,” explains Jessica. “We met with him quite a few times before the wedding so he could really get to know us as a couple and get a great understanding of the type of ceremony we wanted. It made it so special for both of us.”
Tuck’s Ridge in Red Hill, Victoria, was the ideal location for the couple’s chilled vibe. “The views over the vineyard are absolutely gorgeous – we were so lucky to have a beautiful day, the sun going down over the vines after the ceremony was magical.”
The evening was complete with a cocktail style reception, allowing guests to mingle. “We had a stand-up wedding with lots of delicious food, including pulled pork sliders, swordfish skewers, buffalo drummettes and mini lamb souvlakis,” says the bride.

“I wore a ring from my grandmother which she wore to her first dance when she was 18, so this was my something blue and something borrowed,” says the bride.

“There was instant chemistry,” says Jessica of her first encounter with Jarrod.

“If I could do it all over again, there isn’t a single thing I would change,” smiles the bride.
