Jayne and Damien have come a long way since they first met at the Deni Ute Muster many years ago.
Back then “Damien could barely strike up a conversation,” Jayne, 31, says of her once-shy husband, also 31.
“As our friendship grew so did our love for making memories. Early in the relationship I taught at a remote indigenous school on the Tiwi Islands. This is where I had the realisation after one year apart that life is about love and loving who you are around… I needed to be home in Damien’s arms forever.”
The Tocumwal, New South Wales, pair share a love of everything country, from the music to fishing, motorbike riding and four-wheel driving.
They paid tribute to the best of rural life in their classic country wedding on April, 8, 2017.
The celebrations with 107 guests were held at the Corowa Whisky and Chocolate Factory, which Jayne says they chose because it’s on the Murray River and “unique like us”.
With help from family and friends, the couple says they pulled off the perfect day.
“But our wedding was not just about the day, it was a symbol of the life we want to live. Which includes savoring the journey we have together and always looking forward to achieving in life and love for the future,” Jayne says.
“Every detail from the flowers arranged by a friend to a mother cutting out the table runners… It was all made with love and hope a special memory in our journey.”

Jayne matched her classic ivory strapless gown with timeless accessories.
Damien proposed while the pair were exploring the High Country together. “I didn’t know what to do first, scream or cry of excitement. I settled on jumping on him and falling onto the ground in his arms,” Jayne says.
“Don’t get caught up in comparing and discussing the things that don’t deserve the intensity of thought,” Jayne advises future brides. “Instead, listen to your heart and make decisions on what you think works.”
Something Borrowed helped to get the party started during the evening celebrations.
