You know you’ve got some special wedding images on your hands when the venue uses them to market its facility.
That’s exactly what happened to Karina McLean and Andrew Wright after their vintage country wedding on October 19, 2013 in the Snowy Mountains. “Lake Crackenback has even purchased our photos to use for their marketing and on the website as they said it was the best wedding they’d had there,” beams bride Karina.
The photographs by Sayher Heffernan capture the 25-degree sunny day in country NSW and its stunning views. “Booking a wedding in October in the Snowy Mountains is a massive gamble with the weather as it’s usually going to be cold and windy,” says Karina. Instead the couple were blessed with a perfect spring day.
No stone was left unturned when it came to details, with beautiful vintage styling created by family and friends. “Every tea cup, vase, prop and decoration was hand selected to ensure we had the perfect mix,” explains Karina. “The lace doily bunting, amongst other props – such as the table runners and serviette holders – were all handmade by family.”
One-hundred and twenty-three guests joined the couple by Lake Crackenback for the ceremony and celebrated with wedding games including The Shoe Game at the venue’s restaurant, Cuisine.
Lake Crackenback in the Snowy Mountains delivered the goods in terms of weather. “Two days before the wedding it was snowing, cold and raining!” says Karina.
Karina wore a Kathy Ireland for Mon Cheri lace bridal gown and Andrew was dressed by Roger David.
Careful styling was a must for bride Karina who employed the help of loved ones to create the perfect picture. “I have family and friends to thank for helping make our day such a success,” she says.
The couple played several games at their wedding reception including The Shoe Game, Wedding Table Trivia and Groom’s Speech Sweepstake.
