Ask a girl to dinner, she might be yours. Ask a girl to breakfast – she could be yours forever!
Zoe Stuttard, 27, and Michael Chaffer, 31, met while playing a friendly game of Oz Tag. She was a nurse, he was a sailor. “Michael says I caught his eye from the moment he saw me, whereas I was unsure about involving myself with a sailor,” laughs Zoe.
But he asked her out to breakfast and that was putting his best foot forward, according to her. “I thought to myself, there’s something great about this guy, a first date is daunting, but a first date being a breakfast date, well this guy is a catch,” Zoe explains. “I remember that afternoon receiving a message, ‘You looked so beautiful today,’ and from that moment I knew he was the one I would spend the rest of my life with.”
The couple married at their vineyard wedding on March 14, 2015. More than 100 guests gathered at Rose’s Vineyard at Lakes Innes, NSW for the ceremony and reception. Both growing up in small towns, Rose’s Vineyard was the perfect choice of wedding venue, both being coastal and country at heart,” smiles Zoe.
Zoe says she loves Michael for his ability to appreciate the simple things in life. Michael adores Zoe for her beauty, intelligence and caring nature. The newlyweds honeymooned in the US.

“My dress and shoes were my ‘something new'” says Zoe who borrowed pearl earrings and a veil from her mum and a friend and wore her late nan’s sapphire blue ring to complete the tradition.
The bridesmaids’ varying navy gowns were by Zimmerman.
“We both can’t imagine life without each other and really look forward to what our future together holds,” says Zoe.
