The love of motocross brought Hannah Jones and Hayden Brown together on the race track.
“We’d both been racing since we were kids, but that was the first time we ever crossed paths,” says 24-year-old Hannah. “I sent him a friend request on Facebook, and the rest is history!”
The Gladstone couple wed on October 8, 2016 at their modern elegant wedding at Brisbane Powerhouse in QLD, among 60 close family and friends.
Dedicated to their modern theme, Hannah and Hayden, also 24, wanted to create something not commonly seen in weddings at the moment, but still so elegant and stylish. They achieved this with a sleek black and white colour theme, marble wedding cake, ghost chairs and touches of gold throughout the reception styling.
Straying from tradition, the newlyweds decided against having a first dance. “If you’re not dancers, don’t feel pressured to do a first dance,” advises Hannah. “Think outside the box – it just ends up awkward otherwise!”

The handsome groom and his groomsmen were dressed head to toe in Roger David.
Just like out of a movie, Hayden popped the question on a snowy day at the top of Belvedere Castle in Central Park, New York.
Wedding photographer, Kristin Donohue, happened to be friend of Hannah’s. “We used to compete against each other in motocross!”
Hannah’s gorgeous gown was actually not her first choice. With only days to spare, Wendy Makin created and delivered Hannah’s dream custom wedding gown.
Keeping in with the modern theme, Hannah’s bridesmaids wore floor -length black to match the groomsmen.
“Our wedding was the perfect start to the rest of our lives,” says Hannah. “I still can’t believe it’s possible to love someone as much as I do.”
