Port Headland pair Hannah and Sam journeyed more than 12,000 kilometres for their rustic Tasmania wedding in the wilderness.
The WA pair Hannah, 30, and Sam, 32, were friends for many years before it grew into something more.
When it was time to pop the question, Sam’s parents flew the engagement ring from Hobart. “Sam proposed on the day that we were having a celebration for my birthday,” Hannah explains.
It was to the Apple Isle that the couple headed with 110 guests for their rustic celebrations at Pedder Wilderness Lodge, Strathgordon.
The couple describe the location as one of the most beautiful in Australia.
“We were so very blessed with the majority of our guests travelling from all over Australia,” Hannah says.
“It had such a family vibe as so many family and friends helped out with everything from the cake, hair and make-up, and decorations.”
The glorious location also allowed the couple and their guests to enjoy an entire weekend away together.
“We could not have been luckier,” Hannah says. “It was the best three days of our lives.”

“There isn’t much we don’t love about each other,” Hannah says. “Sam is kind, funny and there is never a dull moment.”
“Rowena was outstanding!” praises Hannah of Something Special Photography.
Hannah found her classic wedding dress from the Adelaide Bridal Emporium during a one-off trip to the city.
“Everyone said that your wedding goes so fast and you barely get to see everyone, so we did it over a whole weekend which made it so enjoyable and a lot more relaxing,” Hannah says.
The couple put a fun spin on their classic wedding cake. “We requested Ninja Turtles on one side from Sam’s childhood,” Hannah says.
