Rebekah and Steve had their hearts set on a wedding with a difference – and Darlington Estate Winery in WA allowed for just that.
The couple, aged 27 and 33 respectively, first and foremost wanted a venue that would allow their pup Humphrey to attend! “With an outdoor dance floor, a donut bar and a dog as a ring bearer – our wedding shows that you can create a day which is a unique reflection on you as a couple,” explains Rebekah.
“Darlington Estate had a beautiful area for our ceremony which was surrounded by the tall trees and gorgeous scenery, the inside featured long banquet style tables with glass bi-fold doors surrounding the venue meaning we could see the stunning bush views from inside,” the bride describes of the venue for their rustic winery wedding on December 7, 2018. “The reception area had beautiful fairy lights and the doors opened up to our outdoor dance floor which was also under fairy lights.”
Humphrey stole the show at the reception when delivering the couple their rings. “We are obsessed with our dog so it was only natural for him to be at the big day,” laughs the bride.

The bride’s stunning strapless gown with lace was found at Hobnob Bridal.
The couple chose their venue because it allowed for pets!
“Steve and I met five years ago when we were both travelling Mexico on a contiki tour,” says Rebekah. “We quickly developed a friendship based on our similar senses of humour and it wasn’t until the end of the tour that we realised we had feelings developing.”
Rebekah’s makeup look was created by Erin Male Makeup.
“I absolutely love flowers and candles, so I used green foliage to style the tables intertwined with candles and pops of rose gold cutlery,” explains the bride.
“Steve and I love good food, good wine and to have a dance, so these were three elements we focused on for our wedding,” says Rebekah.
