It was a garden wedding fit for a princess, with the gown and crown to-boot!
Emily Morris, 26, and Tim Fischer, 32, met while she was working as an apprentice chef at a pub in North Adelaide. After three years of dating Tim popped the question during a surprise picnic at Mount Lofty Botanic Gardens.
They were married on November 28, 2015 in the presence of 110 guests. As Mount Lofty had become a special place they marked their ceremony there followed by a reception at Adelaide Pavilion on South Terrace. “We got married in a nice little rotunda, amongst the trees and forest,” says Emily. “Our wedding day was truly the best day of my life, I enjoyed every minute of it and I didn’t let anything stand in my way … I felt like a princess.”
And she looked like one too. Her gown from Jenny & Gerry’s Bridal Centre was from the Disney Princess Collection. “I had Cinderella,” smiles Emily. She teamed this with an elegant tiara-style headpiece wrapped around an almost regal high-bun.
A little tip from the bride – choose family for your bridal party. “Sisters and cousins are a safe bet.”

Mint green was the hero hue, represented beautifully in the bridesmaids’ long flowing evening gowns.
