Change of plan leads to Elisse and Matt’s romantic wedding

Due to unforeseen circumstances, Matt had to move his proposal from Central Park in New York to the beaches of Cancun.

He still managed to sweep Elisse off her feet. “It was the most beautiful moment walking to the top of the stairs of the Secrets Hotel to a gorgeous proposal message in the sand of Cancun beach in vibrant red rocks “Will you marry me Elisse?” with my husband-to-be on a bended knee with the most gorgeous ring,” smiles the bride, 31.

“There was also a table set up with champagne and strawberries, backdropped by crisp white sand, turquoise blue water and balmy red-orange sunset.”

Elisse and Matt, 34, tied the knot on April 6, 2019, witnessed by 130 guests.

The reception was held at The Krystal Function Centre, which was styled by Teresa from Angelik Blossoms, who also created the romantic rose bouquet for the bride.

“The main things we were focused on was the food, the music and the decor. Whenever you leave a wedding you always remember the food, the vibe of the event and how it all came together. We kept this front of mind the whole way through and it helped us stay focused on our vision for the day,” explains Elisse.

The groom and groomsmen were suited by Peter Shearer Menswear and Suit Hire.

Michael Hill provided the perfect engagement ring for the surprise proposal.

The bride wore a stunning off-shoulder dress from the Ultimate Bride.
