Eli and Arj’s luxury circus-themed wedding at Four Seasons Sydney

We’ve never seen a wedding like this. On the evening of August 26, 2023, the Four Seasons Hotel Sydney witnessed a celebration of love like no other as Eli and Arj tied the knot in a wedding extravaganza that left their 194 guests awe-inspired.

“We’ve been laughing together since the day we met, and the rest, as they say, is history,” Eli reminisces about the instant connection she felt with Arj. Arj, cleverly planning the proposal on Eli’s birthday, orchestrated a fairy tale carriage ride through the glistening streets of Paris, complete with a glass slipper, roses, and a surprise engagement under the bridge of love.

Rather than sticking to traditional colours, the couple opted for a whimsical theme, combining Willy Wonka’s charm with the excitement of a circus. The venue was transformed with custom floral installations, ombre red-to-pink flowers, black carpeting, and hidden arcade areas, creating an atmosphere of playful elegance. Every detail was carefully curated, reflecting the couple’s personality and ensuring a memorable experience for their guests.

The Four Seasons Hotel Sydney served a culinary feast. From goat cheese mille fuille and honey & soy sticky pork belly bites for canapés to a deluxe seafood platter featuring Sydney rock oysters, Australian tiger prawns, and more, the menu was a gastronomic journey.

Eli and Arj, embracing their Australian-born Indian background, hosted pre-wedding events that added cultural flair to their celebration. The Sangeet, held on a Starship vessel, featured vibrant decor, dance performances, and a ‘Ring for service’ wall. The Traditional Wedding Ceremony showcased a fusion of Indian and Western elements, with a Winter Alpine theme, classical Indian dancers, and live food stations.

Circus performers and sideshow games kept guests entertained in the stunning Four Seasons ballroom, decorated with pink and red blooms, crystal chandeliers, and chic black and white decor.

The Four Seasons are always so helpful and accommodating. This was the most important aspect when selecting a venue. They’re a delight to work with and always try bring your ideas to life. We actually hosted a party last year at The Four Seasons as a trial run for the reception. Safe to say, we were certain about our choice. The Four Seasons always try to make things happen for us and we couldn’t thank them more. The Four Seasons are like family now!
