Elaine Sequeira and Reuben Dias celebrated their marriage with just shy of 400 guests.
That’s one hell of a party to throw – and it wasn’t easy finding a venue to accommodate their loved ones, some of which travelled from around the world to be there. “We decided to hire an area of the foreshore at South Perth on a beautiful December evening with the Perth city skyline as a stunning backdrop,” explains Elaine.
The couple, aged 28 and 29 respectively, married on December 20, 2014 with a theme of modern elegance. Their ceremony at St Benedict’s Catholic Church in Applecross was followed by the reception which was created with the help of a wedding planner. “Our wedding designer came up with the idea to have a series of interconnecting marquees in a semi-circle with the dance floor as the central focal point,” describes the bride. The set-up allowed for their large number of guests and created the party atmosphere the pair were really searching for.
And if you’ve been questioning whether or not to get a videographer, take some of Elaine’s advice: “We were so glad we had a videographer at our wedding as it’s the one thing that we’ve gone back to the most since our wedding day to re-live all the memories,” she smiles.

The classic couple used Bellagio Limousines for their wedding cars and chose an elegant black tie look for their summer nuptials.
“Reuben has been my pillar of strength and is always there to support me in everything I do,” says Elaine.
Organised bride Elaine says, “When I woke up on the wedding day, I promised myself that whatever happened from then on was out of my control.”
