At Bendooley Estate in Bowral, Australia, Dominica and Ryan wed at their country garden wedding with 125 guests.
The pair, aged 29 and 36 respectively, had always wanted a wedding that would be a weekend getaway. “We fell in love with Bendooley as soon as we set eyes on it,” recalls the bride. “We couldn’t book in quick enough.”
Dominica wore a ball-style gown with white heels decorated with colourful flowers. “It’s not what I anticipated buying but as soon as I saw them I knew they were it!”
Her hair and make-up were done by “extremely talents” friends Fran and Kelly. “I wanted a natural look with brown tones that still looked good in photos and Fran absolutely nailed it,” Dominica says. “I had an low bun for the ceremony to wear with my veil, which Fran designed so that I could take it out for the reception for more of a party look!”
Family was also enlisted to help on the December 1, 2017 day, with the bride’s aunty using her beautiful handwriting on the invitations and name cards. “It was such a culmination of contributions from so many of our family and friends, which made the whole day seamless, full of love and celebration,” smiles Dominica.

Ryan wore a bow tie instead of a tie to stand out from his groomsmen.
“I didn’t think I would go for a ball gown but when I put it on, it felt just right,” says the bride.
“Ryan and I met through his cousin Emma, also one of my best friends,” explains the bride.
“Make sure you embrace every moment as it’s an incredible ride,” advises Dominica for other brides to be.
The bride’s mum made their special cake. “She is an incredible baker,” says Dominica.
