After meeting at high school, it made sense that Devina and Andy returned to a familiar venue for their romantic wedding.
“We started to searched for ballroom venue when Millennium Biltmore Los Angeles crossed our mind. It was the place that we had our high school prom 10 years ago,” Devina says.
Nostalgia had also played a part in the couple’s engagement.
“Andy brought me back to the first restaurant we went to in our college years. I thought we were just having a nice dinner to celebrate our anniversary,” Paula explains.
“I remember the waiter was just finished taking our order and walked away when another server approached us with wine and a bouquet of roses. I was surprised and confused at the same time. I looked back at Andy and that’s when he knelt down on one knee and pulled out a ring box to propose.”
The couple wed at Millennium Biltmore Los Angeles’ Emerald Ballroom on December 23, 2018, before the reception celebrations with 150 guests in the Crystal Ballroom.
“The first dance was our favorite moment from the day,” Devina recalls.
“It was such an emotional moment. It felt as if the world stopped turning and it was just the two of us dancing the night away.”

Paula matched her tea ceremony gown with Jimmy Choo heels.
Devina had her ceremony gown custom-made by a designer in her hometown. “A white classy ballgown has always been in my mind. I’ve also been in love with off-the-shoulder and lace pieces, so those were the first thing that I told my designer,” she says.
“Start planning early,” Devina advises future brides. “Wedding planning can get pretty overwhelming at first, but the earlier you get onto it, the less stressful it will be. Always remember the most important meaning of wedding – it’s marrying the love of your life!”
