“Fate kept us apart until I’d gotten my braces off and he’d stopped wearing a bum-bag.”
Yep, sometimes destiny just takes five to make sure when true loves do find one another they are well prepared to make it last! Ally Mosher and Clint Taylor, aged 24 and 25 respectively, grew up in Sydney’s Blue Mountains and shared many mutual friends. But it wasn’t until years later they met.
After six years together the graphic designer and police officer married at their country rustic wedding on October 24, 2015. “We’re both Aussie but have Celtic heritage, something I’ve always felt connected to,” says Ally. So they hunted for a venue that not only reflected their love of the Blue Mountains but also a Celtic touch. They found Secret Creek Sanctuary in Lithgow which boasted animals, a hand-built café and green surroundings.
The couple opted for an intimate guest list of 60 and had one of their close friends as a celebrant. And even though it was the simple ceremony Ally dreamed of (“in, married, out, let’s party,” she says), she laughs that she was anything but a “graceful bride!”
“I got a stone in my shoe walking down the aisle, my hair fell out of its up-do, I had bugs in my veil and my engagement ring got stuck on my right hand,” she says. “It was a good ice-breaker at the reception, but police rescue had to cut it off three days later!”
Despite all that, the couple had a ball, and can only thank their guests for that. “Everyone came ready to celebrate and party, and our guests are still telling us it was the best wedding they’ve been to – without realising they should be the ones thanked for that!”

Like many modern couples, Ally and Clint decided on first-look photos before the ceremony.
“There’s nothing like this place,” says Ally. “As we had our first kiss and the guests cheered, the dingoes all began to howl. It was a goosebump-inducing moment.”
Guests were able to pre-order their meals upon RSVPing – so no alternate drop required.
