A bubbling online romance turned into true love for Danielle Cobcroft and her Irish beau Jonathan Garrett.
The couple, aged 29 and 27 respectively, married at their rustic wedding – but not before overcoming some obstacles to be together. “Due to his visa about to expire not long after we met, Jonny was planning on heading home to Ireland, so we decided to stop seeing each other to save the pain,” explains Danii. “But we couldn’t do it. We saw each other almost every day.”
The couple then “proved their relationship beyond reasonable doubt” to Australian authorities and were granted a couple’s visa. “I’ve had to move three times for work interstate. He’s been so supportive and come on every adventure with me,” says Danii.
Their outdoor ceremony at Fernbank Farm in Yarramalong, NSW, was followed by their marquee reception with 60 guests. “There were three marquees, one for dining and speeches, one for dancing and one for the bar,” says Danii.
The mother of the bride played a large role in the creation of the wedding day, making invitations from scratch, table numbers and favours for the guests. “My mum made little bride and groom boxes, each one individually patterned – the groom had a shamrock on the collar to represent my husband being Irish and inside the boxes was Cadbury chocolates,” smiles the bride.

“Our families have been so supportive of our wedding and helped a lot,” says Danii.
Due to some dramatic weight loss, the bride’s gown had to be altered three sizes down for her wedding day! “Very happy with the end result,” smiles Danii.

DJ Magoo’s Party & Equipment Hire provided a DJ and MC to entertain the crowd.
