Nick Stredwick enlisted the help of strangers to propose to girlfriend Danielle Rupert.
After already choosing the perfect location to pop the question – Brisbane’s Kangaroo Point Cliffs – Nick just needed someone to capture the moment. “He had planned to ask a stranger to take a photo of me being asked, but ran into a group of young photographers doing a fashion shoot, and when he told them his plan, they were more than happy to join in, and filmed the whole thing,” explains Danielle. “Lucky I said ‘yes’!”
The pair, aged 31 (Danielle) and 36 (Nick), marked their engagement across the river at Stamford Plaza. “We knew right then Stamford Plaza was where we always wanted to celebrate our wedding day, so two weeks later it was booked,” says the bride.
The couple celebrated their classic wedding with 72 guests on May 27, 2017. A clean black and white theme set the tone for the day. “It felt like we had stepped back in time to an old black and white love story movie, that we got to live for a day but will remember forever,” smiles Danielle.
