Jenna Grassi was dancing the night away when she spotted a handsome stranger across the room.
That good looking guy was Brendan Juides, and before Jenna knew it, he was standing right in front of her on the dancefloor of their local Ingham pub in far north Queensland.
“We both fell for each other almost straight away and started dating not long after,” Jenna, 25, says.
Five years later and Jenna was wondering when Brendan, 28, would pop the question.
In 2016 the couple took a drive down Victoria’s Great Ocean Road and Brendan got down on one knee on the edge of a cliff overlooking the Twelve Apostles.
“From the engagement, Mum and I got to work! We had the best time organising all the little details of the wedding,” Jenna says.
The couple held their romantic wedding at Tradewinds by the Sea Chapel, Kurrimine Beach, on August 5, 2017 in front of 84 friends and family.
The celebrations continued at Millers Beach Bar and Grill, Mission Beach, where Jenna and her mum’s DIY handiwork was on show.
“All the decorations where done ourselves with Dad’s handyman skills playing a huge role making everything from scratch,” Jenna says.
“The night went off without a hitch. It was so rewarding to see it all come together and to see everyone having such a good time. We can truly say it was the best day ever!”

Jenna added a touch of greenery in her bridal bouquet.
“This place was just what we were looking for,” Jenna says of the ceremony venue.
Jenna’s wedding dress had beautiful lace detail. “My dress was a two piece which I loved. It has a beautiful French lace bodice with an amazing full skirt which also has pockets, which I thought as pretty cool,” she describes.
“We hired a beautiful holiday house on the beachfront,” Jenna says of the wedding lead-up. “We had a pre-wedding dinner for all our family and friends which helped a lot with the pre-wedding jitters.”
“The food was AMAZING,” says Jenna of Millers Beach Bar & Grill. “We had amazing comments from our guests.”
Of photographer Tracey Woodfield, Jenna says, “Tracey did an amazing job. We were over the moon with our photos.”
