Stephanie and Matt are literally partners in crime – she’s a criminal prosecutor and he’s a criminal psychiatrist.
After meeting in a bar, the Sydney pair first bonded over Scandinavian crime dramas, leading to a long-term connection. “We work incredibly well as a team and love planning parties – our wedding was no exception,” Stephanie says.
When it came to planning their rustic vineyard wedding, Stephanie, 31, wanted it to be a true reflection of her and Matt, 36. “We wanted to show all the people in our lives how incredibly honoured we were to have them celebrate this momentous occasion with us. We also wanted to create a lot of it ourselves so that we felt personally invested in our wedding.”
The couple wed on October 31, 2015 at Ironbark Hill Vineyard in Pokolbin, NSW in front of 130 guests. A Polaroid station, coffee van, a post box as a guest book, cigar and whiskey bar and personalised notes to each guest created the individual touch the couple were after.
“We went above and beyond to ensure that every guest there understood what they meant to us and how grateful we were that they were in our lives,” Stephanie says.

Stephanie’s strapless gown was teamed with a classic veil and her brunette locks styled in loose waves.
Celebrant Janet Lomax helped the couple make it official.
“We wanted to create a wedding which reflected our personality and was also incredibly personal,” Stephanie says.
The couple paid great attention to personal details when it came to planning the big day.
A choreographed first dance helped the couple shine on the dancefloor.
