Chasing some inspiration for your boho-themed wedding?
Carla and Lee Alach, aged 26 and 36 respectively, may have all the ingredients you’re looking for. Their boho wedding on May 9, 2015 was styled with simple elegance to create a bohemian atmosphere. Held at Ewingsdale Hall in Byron Bay, the couple were married under a tree close to sunset. Their children, aged one and two, were in tow as page boy and flower girl.
“I wanted a boho feel and went with a long-sleeve mermaid, bateau-neck, lace wedding dress, along with a flower crown for me and all the bridesmaids,” explains the stunning bride, Carla. “I hired a singer on guitar to entertain guest outside under the festoon lighting, bar tables and ottomans while we took photos down the Ewingsdale lane, in front of the graffiti wall in Byron Bay and on the beach at sunset.”
The reception tables were decorated with white linen, burlap table runners, mason jars and floral arrangements. Simple fairy-lighting above set the mood.
Carla hailed her relaxed theming a success as it followed through to the running of the day. “Our wedding was filled with love and laughter,” she smiles. “It was low key and relaxed and a fun day had by all.”

“We couldn’t have asked for better weather on the day,” says Carla.
