Being taller than average paid off for Erin and Levi when they were able to see above the crowds and lock eyes in a busy bar.
“Not long after we began dating we were already living together and inseparable,” says Erin, 35.
Levi, 34, popped the question on the shores of Lake Daylesford as the couple enjoyed a candlelit dessert.
The couple kept their elegant barn wedding in the picturesque Victorian town, choosing new venue, The Burrow Event Space, nestled in the Wombat Forest National Park for their celebrations.
“We wanted it to feel like another family get-together, rather than a fancy wedding as that’s just not us,” Erin explains.
The couple’s ceremony was held beneath the gum trees in a classic Australian scene, but the reception in the newly-built barn had a taste of the USA.
“As Levi is from the States, we wanted a wedding that felt Australian but also celebrated American culture, so we found a fabulous caterer that did slow cooked American style BBQ,” Erin says.
“Our wedding was an amazing celebration because of all the people we had around us.”

Beautiful bride Erin was looking her best thanks to hair and makeup by Kristina Canzoneri.
Erin’s bouquet, featuring native foliage, was in keeping with the bush setting.
“Guests flew in from all around the world, and all of our guests came together like one giant family,” Erin says of the laid-back celebrations.
Levi’s stylish suit from Oscar Hunt Tailors took him from the daytime ceremony to the night-time celebrations.
