A grand proposal during a helicopter ride of the Sydney Harbour was the beginning of wedding planning for Chiara and Steven.
The couple, aged 25 and 26, married at their elegant lunchtime wedding on September 9, 2017. At Holy Rosary Church, Chiara walked down the aisle to Beyonce’s Ave Maria, in her long-sleeve gown with beading and open back. “This was the church where I was baptised and where I went to primary school,” explains the bride. “We had the most amazing day surrounded by lots of beautiful family and friends.”
The Canberra pair and their 210 guests then moved to the National Gallery of Australia. “With a large family we needed a big space to have the wedding and after seeing the Gandel Hall at the National Gallery of Australia we knew it was the perfect venue,” says Chiara.
Chiara and Steven relied on Easy Weddings to plan the day, which Chiara says was extremely useful. “Our wedding was unique and used lots of great local suppliers,” smiles the bride.

Steven and his crew suited up at Black Tie by Xavier. The groomsmen co-ordinated with burgundy bow ties made from the fabric of the bridesmaids’ dresses.
Valley Limousines provided the bride and her party an impressive stretch Hummer on the day!
“I wore two bracelets; one a gift from my grandfather and one a borrowed bracelet that was my grandma’s who passed away,” says the bride.
The couple’s five-tier, gold drip cake had different flavours including chocolate, vanilla, coffee, limoncello and caramel.
