Isabella and Matthew first met as teenagers while working at Safeway. As Matt was technically her boss at the time, Isabella describes their initial relationship as love/hate.
“I didn’t really take orders well when I was young,” laughs the bride. “Matt would say that I still don’t take them well.”
Years after their tumultuous coworker relationship, after the two had moved onto other jobs, Isabella and Matt reconnected through a mutual friend. It was after this that love finally blossomed.
The couple married on May 20, 2018 alongside 80 guests at their classic wedding. The day began with a traditional ceremony at Newman College Chapel and ended with a reception at Quat Quatta in Victoria.
Forever marching to the beat of her own drum, Isabella knew exactly what she wanted for the wedding from the get-go. “I wanted it to be classic and timeless. From the bomboniere to the boys’ suits, I knew what I wanted right down to the very detail.”

Matt purchased his classic tux from Formal Red.
Isabella had her gown custom-made to suit her own personal style.
Isabella says her highlight was meeting her groom at the end of the aisle. “Bless him, Matt started to shed a few small tears. I could not believe that he was so happy and excited.”
Always Classic Cars provided the couple’s official wedding day transport.
Something About Cake created the couple’s three-tier masterpiece.
